Interesting dot, I usually don’t mess around with low cost dot, but thought I would give it a try. At first glance it looks good well built. The window is good sized for a small dot similar to the size of an sig Romeo zero, or holosun. I am not a fan of the holosun, just not impressed with the ones I had, mainly I hate the circle dot reticle in many models. The sig Romeo zero dots I hate the tiny button inside the window of the dot. Based off that I would say the Otter is a better offering.
My go to dot is a c more and I have a couple CRC models. The window on the otter is not as big as the CRC but not to much smaller. I thought the c more was the brightness dot I ever seen but the otter is equal to it. I compared it side by side to my c more the glass is clearer on the otter as the c more has a slight bluegreen tint. The c more is a 6 moa dot, and setting the otter at the same brightness setting the 3 moa dot looked exactly the same size as the 6 moa in my cmore. On the top both dots will hurt your eyes to look at.
am not sure about the otters tinny battery, I do like the side mount battery. The screw is soft, and was hard to remove to get the cover off, it couldn’t be accomplished with the tools supplied. Also the screwdriver tipped tool is very soft and deformed attempting to get the battery screw out. The adjustments are ok I haven’t had it long enough to see if it holds zero. Boxing is nice, and the dot looks robust. The buttons are nice and tactile.
I liked it so much I decided to take a chance on another dot the oak plus. Hopefully that dot is a nice as the otter.
